Healthcare Tech Prototype
This project came directly from my own time working in healthcare — both as a nurse and as a pharmacy assistant. I saw firsthand how clinics struggle with admin overload, patient communication gaps, and inefficient appointment workflows. The goal was to create tooling that reduces pressure on staff while improving patient experience.
Context & Intent
Instead of selling websites, the business model was centered around outcomes: fewer phone calls, clearer intake, lower no-show rates, and smoother internal coordination. The platform included booking flows, intake forms, and portal scaffolding for patients and employees.
Technical Stack
- Built with Next.js, TypeScript, and SCSS
- CI/CD and deployments handled via GitHub → Vercel
- Performance optimization and edge caching on Cloudflare
- AI-assisted content and workflow refinement using ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini
Why the Project Was Not Taken to Market
As the project neared launch, deeper review of GDPR and HIPAA regulations made it clear that operating in this space requires not just development, but ongoing legal oversight and compliance infrastructure. For a solo developer, this would effectively mean also being a legal specialist. Rather than launch unprepared, I chose to complete the project as a portfolio prototype.
Discuss the Prototype
If your team works in healthcare and already has compliance resources in place, I’m open to walking through the architecture and how it could be expanded into a production deployment.
